skill-account-diagnosis · Account Diagnosis / Launch Checkup

An account diagnosis skill: it reads a completed account profile plus recent content data, then runs an attribution-style checkup across five dimensions — vertical focus, positioning clarity, throttling/downranking signals, traffic-pool stage, and content-audience fit — delivering cause → evidence → prescription advice with a staged action list.
A completed profile is a prerequisite; it never diagnoses on thin information. Missing data is listed as information gaps for follow-up questions, never fabricated into conclusions.
Example invocation: "Give this account a launch checkup — views have been stuck."
Full brief
Positioning
skill-account-diagnosis is a planning-layer skill that performs attribution-style checkups on a concrete account and prescribes fixes: it diagnoses against the account's profile as the benchmark, combines recent content data, and gives staged launch advice with publishing recommendations. It depends on a completed profile — without one it routes to profile-builder instead of diagnosing on thin air.
Core capabilities
- Five-dimension diagnosis (each: current state → evidence → conclusion): vertical focus / positioning clarity / throttling-downranking signals / traffic-pool stage / content-audience fit. Vertical focus measures distance from this profile's positioning, not a generic standard.
- Cause → evidence → prescription: every issue organized in three parts, with prescriptions concrete enough to execute — no empty advice.
- Staged launch guidance: key actions per current follower tier (0-500 / 500-5k / 5k-1w / 1w+), plus next-tier targets.
- Publishing recommendations: content direction priorities, cadence, and capabilities to strengthen (pointing to downstream skills: topics → content-matrix, scripts → video-script, compliance → quality-gate).
- Information gaps → plan: missing data the diagnosis needs is listed as questions for the user — no conclusions from fabricated data.
- Insight feedback suggestion: reusable insights may be suggested for the user's confirmed write-back into
profiles/<name>/memory.md; this skill never edits the profile automatically.
Workflow
- Read the profile's six dimensions and assess completeness; if too sparse, recommend profile-builder and stop
- Collect recent content data (used if provided; otherwise flag the precision impact and ask)
- Diagnose per dimension with the framework; self-check throttling signals against the checklist
- Determine the traffic-pool stage from follower scale and engagement rates
- Prescribe: cause → evidence → prescription
- Action list for the current tier and the next
- Information-gap plan for the user to answer before refinement
Inputs & outputs
| Input | Notes |
|---|---|
| Profile name | Required — points to profiles/<name>/ |
| Recent content data | Optional — titles / topics / exposure / engagement for the last 10-30 items |
| Specific concern | Optional — e.g. "views won't grow", "am I throttled?" |
Output: a diagnosis report (five dimensions + cause → evidence → prescription) plus a staged action list and an information-gap plan.
Boundaries with adjacent skills
- skill-profile-builder: builds the account profile — this skill's input prerequisite. account-diagnosis consumes the profile for diagnosis; it does not build profiles.
Fit
- New accounts needing direction and a staged action list
- Persistently low views with suspected throttling or downranking
- Fuzzy positioning that needs recalibration
- Entering a new follower tier with new stage goals
Before you start
- A completed profile is required (the six files under
profiles/<name>/largely filled); if missing or mostly blank, run skill-profile-builder first. - Prepare topic/exposure/engagement data for the last 10-30 posts — more data, more precise diagnosis; without it, the skill works from the profile plus follow-up questions.
