skill-brand-onboarding · Account Onboarding

An onboarding skill for creators and brands: through open-source information gathering plus a structured interview, it builds a complete Easel account profile. Public facts are scraped from social pages and websites first, then you review and correct them — only genuine gaps are asked in the interview.
The deliverable is a six-dimension profile under profiles/<name>/: brand positioning, style and tone, audience, platforms, content preferences and compliance. Unverified facts are marked [TBD], never invented. All downstream skills read this profile automatically.
Example invocation: "Onboard my brand and build an account profile."
Full brief
Positioning
skill-brand-onboarding is a structured onboarding flow for new accounts: it combines public information gathering with a structured interview to produce a complete Easel account profile — the shared context that every downstream skill reads automatically.
Core capabilities
- Open-source collection: scrapes social homepages and websites to extract verifiable facts — brand name, bio, follower counts, visual observations — with sources annotated.
- Pre-filled interview: confirmed facts are presented back as "what we already know" for correction; only genuine gaps become interview questions, keeping the user's effort minimal.
- Six-dimension profile: identity, style, audience, platforms, preferences & compliance, and attribution memory — six files built in one pass.
- Asset intake: logos, product shots, lifestyle imagery, and example posts are filed into
assets/per convention. - No fabrication: anything unverified is marked
[TBD]; anything estimated from screenshots is marked(estimated).
Workflow
- Setup: confirm the profile name (lowercase directory name); if a profile exists, ask update or rebuild
- Public collection: gather social links, website, brand materials; scrape and extract verifiable facts; flag gaps
- Pre-filled interview: known facts for review → gap questions → asset checklist → brand details
- Review replies and assets: file the assets, merge answers, at most 3 follow-up questions on key gaps
- Generate the profile: write the six files into
profiles/<name>/per template - Confirm and finalize: walk through each file with the user
Inputs & outputs
| Input | Notes |
|---|---|
| Brand / account name | Required |
| Social links, website, official accounts | Optional — provide whatever exists |
| Brand manual, VI files, screenshots | Optional — file paths accepted |
| Interview answers and assets | Per the interview document |
Output: identity.md / style.md / audience.md / platforms.md / preferences.md / memory.md under profiles/<name>/, plus the assets/ archive.
Boundaries with adjacent skills
- skill-voice-builder: builds only the creator's personal voice (tone, diction, rhythm); this skill builds the brand's full six-dimension profile.
- skill-audience-profiler: builds only the audience profile; this skill covers positioning, style, audience, platforms, and more.
Fit
- New brands or accounts starting from zero, wanting a complete account record in one pass
- Existing accounts wanting to systematize positioning, tone, audience, and platform strategy
- Brands that want all future content generated from one consistent profile
Before you start
- Have the brand name, social links, and website ready; brand color hex values, a high-res logo, and product photography if available.
- The most valuable input is 3–5 real copy samples; the two most important facts are the target audience (ICP) and the operating goal — without them, later content planning stays generic.
- No API key or fees involved.
