skill-content-strategy · Content Strategy Blueprint

A skill for building a complete content strategy: content pillar architecture, audience journey mapping, 90-day pacing principles, distribution channel strategy, and a KPI system — delivered as one executable strategy document. It is the meta-strategy layer: frameworks and principles only, not a week-by-week calendar (that belongs to skill-content-calendar).
Before drafting it gathers creator type, target audience, business goals, content inventory, competitors, capacity, target platforms, and time horizon; an existing account profile pre-fills these automatically.
Example invocation: "Build a content strategy blueprint for my beauty account."
Full brief
Positioning
skill-content-strategy is the meta-strategy layer of content planning: an end-to-end strategy document covering everything from positioning to execution principles. It defines pillar theory, the audience journey, 90-day pacing principles, and channel strategy to drive downstream tactical skills — but it never produces a concrete posting calendar.
Core capabilities
- Content inventory diagnosis: existing assets, performance data, gaps, and opportunities.
- Pillar architecture: 3–5 content pillars, each with a role, audience value, and 8–15 series topics; pillars serve persona-building and mental positioning, not SEO logic.
- Audience journey mapping: content mapped across four stages — discover → trust → choose → recommend — with share allocations.
- 90-day pacing principles: infrastructure / optimization / acceleration phase principles (principle-level, not day-by-day scheduling).
- Distribution channel strategy: per-platform positioning, core formats, cadence, traffic logic, cross-platform reuse, and one-to-many adaptation plans.
- KPI system: core metrics and monthly targets set per audience-journey stage.
Workflow
- Requirements: creator type, audience, business goals, content inventory, competitors, capacity, platforms, time horizon (90 days default)
- Pillar architecture: 3–5 pillars with series topics and interplay rules
- Audience journey planning: four-stage mapping and allocation
- 90-day pacing principles: phase rhythm and focus per phase
- Distribution channel strategy: per-platform playbooks and one-to-many adaptation
- KPI system: metrics and targets; saved to

Inputs & outputs
| Input | Notes |
|---|---|
| Creator type / audience / goals | Discovery items; pre-filled when a profile exists |
| Content inventory | Existing assets, follower counts, hits, weak spots |
| Competitors | 2–5 reference accounts in the same niche |

Boundaries with adjacent skills
| Skill | Role |
|---|---|
| skill-content-strategy (this) | Meta-strategy layer: pillar theory, audience journey, pacing principles, channel strategy |
| skill-content-calendar | Consumes this strategy to produce a concrete monthly calendar |
| skill-content-matrix | Produces the topic-title pool (pillar × format matrix), inheriting this skill's pillar definitions |
Fit
- New accounts needing a complete content operating framework before launch
- Stalled accounts wanting to re-map direction and pillars
- Teams needing alignment on positioning, pacing, and metric definitions before execution
Before you start
- An account profile (identity / audience / platforms) enables strategy tailored to the real positioning; generic mode works without one.
- Bring inventory data (followers, best performers) and 2–5 competitor accounts.
- No API key or fees involved.
