skill-persona-check · Persona Consistency Check

A persona-consistency skill: it compares content awaiting publication against the creator's profile across 7 dimensions — positioning, content format, audience fit, tone, and more — outputting a consistency score, concrete deviation evidence, and revision suggestions.
It's the only Easel skill that mandates a profile; without one it terminates immediately. It's advisory only: publish_allowed is always true, and a low score never blocks publishing.
Example invocation: "Does this copy match my persona? Check it for me."
Full brief
Positioning
skill-persona-check is a content-vs-persona comparison tool: it benchmarks content against the account profile dimension by dimension, outputting a consistency score and deviation diagnosis. It's an advisory tool, not a publishing gate — the score informs, never decides for the user.
Core capabilities
- Mandatory profile prerequisite: this skill cannot work without a profile; absent one, it outputs a prompt and terminates — no check performed.
- 7-dimension weighted scoring: positioning & vertical 30% / format consistency 15% / audience fit 15% / tone & narrative 15% / personality & diction 10% / platform fit 10% / preferences & experience 5%.
- Severe-drift ceilings: vertical score < 40 caps the total at 59 (major_drift); format score < 40 caps at 69; touching a profile "don't do" red line caps at 39.
- Deviation evidence: for dimensions under 80, quotes the offending text, contrasts it with profile expectations, and marks severity.
- Revision suggestions: word-level replacements, sentence-level tweaks, paragraph-level rewrite directions, prioritized.
- Three verdicts: consistent (80-100) / minor_drift (60-79) / major_drift (0-59).
- Warn, never block:
publish_allowedis alwaystrue; low scores never block publishing or force rewrites for the sake of passing.
Workflow
- Parse the profile (no profile → terminate)
- Analyze the content (topic & intent / format / audience / language style / platform fit)
- Score dimension by dimension, applying severe-drift ceilings
- Locate deviations (quoted text + contrast + severity)
- Generate prioritized revision suggestions
- Output a structured JSON report (total score / verdict / publish_allowed / dimensions / deviations / suggestions / one-line summary)
Inputs & outputs
| Input | Notes |
|---|---|
| Content to check | Required — copy text or artifact path |
| Profile | Required — injected via the === EASEL ACCOUNT PROFILE === marker, or a profile name |
Output: a structured consistency report (JSON) with total score, verdict, publish_allowed, per-dimension scores, deviation summary, and revision hints.
Boundaries with adjacent skills
- skill-quality-gate: deep compliance + quality review — platform rules and content quality.
- skill-publish-checklist: completeness check — missing titles, missing covers, and the like.
Fit
- Confirming tone hasn't drifted before publishing
- Assessing deviation before trying a new vertical
- Aligning agency-written content to the persona
- Checking tone after cross-platform adaptation
Before you start
- An account profile is required (identity / style / audience / preferences / memory, partially or fully); without one, create it first (via skill-profile-builder or the manual template).
- Hard gates (content safety, platform compliance, sensitive data) are outside this skill's scope and follow their own rules.
