skill-profile-manager · Account Profile Manager

An account-profile lifecycle skill: create blank profiles (copied from a six-file template with guided fill-in), edit fields, update memory, switch, export, and diff two profiles. The profile is the foundation of the Easel system — diagnosis, persona checks, and publishing skills all read positioning and style from here.
First-time profile generation from social data belongs to skill-profile-builder; language-style extraction alone to skill-voice-builder; brand onboarding to skill-brand-onboarding.
Example invocation: "Create a profile named 'Tech Reviewer' and walk me through filling it in."
Full brief
Positioning
skill-profile-manager is the management tool for account profiles, covering their full lifecycle: create, edit, memory updates, export, diff, switch, list. It is itself the profile management layer; other skills read profiles from here.
Core capabilities
- 7 operations: create / edit / memory-update / export / diff / list / switch.
- Guided creation: checks for name conflicts → copies
profiles/_template/→ asks sequential questions for identity (who you are / what you make / differentiation), style (language voice), audience (target readers), then writes the files. - Targeted editing: locates
profiles/<name>/<field>.mdby field, shows current content, applies the change, outputs a diff summary. - Memory appends: formats new entries as "date — source / finding / action" and appends to memory.md after dedup.
- Export summary cards: merges all profile files into a structured summary saved under
outputs/. - Profile diffing: side-by-side comparison table across positioning / style / audience / platform / preferences.
- Completeness-ranked listing: scans
profiles/, scores each profile on substantive content in its six files, lists by completeness. - Profile-aware: with a profile context, defaults to operating the active profile; first use with no profiles auto-enters the create flow.
Workflow
- Parse intent and route to one of the 7 actions
- Create: conflict check → copy template → guided fill-in → write → prompt to complete platforms/preferences
- Edit: locate file → show current → apply change → confirm diff
- Memory-update: read existing → format entry → dedup → append
- Export / diff / list / switch follow their own flows
Inputs & outputs
| Input | Notes |
|---|---|
| action | Required — create / edit / memory-update / export / diff / list / switch |
| profile_name | Required for create; not needed for list |
| field / content | For edit — the field and the content to write |
| profile_b | For diff — the second profile name |
| data_source | For memory-update — user statement / data report / post feedback |
Output: creation confirmation, edit diff summary, profile comparison table, profile list, export summary card.
Boundaries with adjacent skills
- skill-profile-builder: first-time profile generation from social data; this skill manages the lifecycle after generation.
- skill-voice-builder: language-style extraction only.
- skill-brand-onboarding: first-time brand onboarding.
Fit
- Building a profile before launching a new account
- Writing post-review insights into profile memory
- Managing multiple accounts/profiles and comparing them
- Exporting profiles for team alignment
Before you start
- Prepare the basics: who you are, what you make, how you differ, who your audience is.
- With no profiles, the create flow starts automatically — no manual setup needed.
- Memory updates are written back only after user confirmation, to avoid polluting the profile.
